The primary priority of the project is Environmental Protection and Combatting Climate Change. The aim is for students to become more environmentally and health-conscious, directing their own and their families' activities and lifestyles towards sustainability. Another priority is Combatting Learning Disadvantages, Early School Leaving, and Low Levels of Basic Skills Knowledge. The developed FOREST SCHOOL AND ACTIVE TOURISM MODEL PROGRAM aims for environmental education, scientific knowledge dissemination, experiential learning based on active action, and lifestyle orientation. • The method employed during the program is the successful organization of education and upbringing of a heterogeneous group of students in terms of status management and knowledge and socialization in a forest school environment, in support of inclusion. The cooperating partner institutions' teachers will jointly develop and test the FOREST SCHOOL AND ACTIVE TOURISM MODEL PROGRAM for 9th and 10th-grade students, supplemented with worksheets. Additional goals include creating websites for the project, methodological renewal for teachers, and dissemination activities.

• Project management activities - financial and professional direction (both partner institutions). • Coordination-focused partner meetings. • Literature review, compiling a bibliography of good practices. • Collaborative development work of teachers from cooperating partner institutions: development and testing of the FOREST SCHOOL AND ACTIVE TOURISM MODEL PROGRAM for involved 9th and 10th-grade students, completed expert reviews. • Creation of websites at partner organizations. • Expansion of the pedagogical program of cooperating schools with the finalized FOREST SCHOOL AND ACTIVE TOURISM MODEL PROGRAM. • Publication of project results updates on the website of the University of Nyíregyháza. • Presentation of professional development work in the project at a professional conference: Practice Schools Association Conference, September 2022 to April 2024; Babes Bolyai University Tourism Conference, Cluj-Napoca, June 2023. • Preparation of online brochures on project activities and results, in Hungarian, English, and Romanian. • Summary of project results in Hungarian, English, and Romanian.

• Compiled bibliography with the latest relevant literature recorded • Model program developed, supplemented with worksheets • Completed online brochures in English, Romanian, and Hungarian • Established websites with project partners • Testing and experimentation of the active tourism model program with the participation of 9th and 10th-grade students, documenting the results of testing • Promotion of the forest school as an informal learning space within and outside the partnership • Professional and methodological renewal of implementing educators • During the forest school program, generally less factual knowledge can be taught, and there are many more opportunities for independent and group exploration, discovery activities, and the application and expansion of existing knowledge, which was ensured for students facing learning disadvantages, as their peers helped to recall knowledge and solve tasks. Children facing learning disadvantages also experienced success, their knowledge expanded, and solidified. According to the results of testing the model program, the experiments, task-solving, observations, community building applied therein resulted in a more positive environmental attitude among the students.
