The main objective of the current education authorities is to promote vocational training and ensure that professionals with the right skills enter the labour market. The training of both schools must be adapted to the constant technological development and new needs. It was therefore important to ensure that all professions were represented when selecting the target group in order to maximise the achievement of the project's objectives. As a result of the project, the students involved in the project have developed the basic skills and key competences needed in their professions. Most importantly, they have acquired the skills and competences that will enable them to face the challenges of the next 20-30 years. The aim of the project was for the students to learn to apply the basic electronics and metalworking skills they had learnt at school in a complex way, and to learn to work in teams and build new relationships and friendships through working together. We have recognised our own personal values, helped students to develop self-esteem and contributed to the development of responsibility towards environmental problems, and we have taken action for a more sustainable future.

During the project we organised the following meetings and events: - Kick-off meeting - Debrecen project week - Csíkszereda project week The theme of the project weeks was as follows: The project we wanted to implement was two solar benches, mainly made of recycled items, together with Beregszászi and Csíkszereda students. In both schools the project consisted of two main parts. One main part was the construction of the bench, the other main part was the assembly of the solar electric part in such a way that the system is controlled by a Siemens LOGO PLC. - Closing event The event featured presentations by Réka Nemes and Zsolt Török from our partner institution, the Székely Károly Technical School, István Nagyházi, electrical engineering teacher from the Beregszászi Technical Vocational School, Dr. János Tóth, automation engineer and Zoltán Harsányi network development specialist. The event was also attended by the students participating in the programme, as well as students in electronics technician, automotive mechatronics technician, mechatronics technician, and electrician classes. - The results of the programme were also presented to our teachers at the final project event.

The partnership was able to work very successfully because the project participants felt that this project contributed to the innovation in vocational education and training, environmental protection and the development of 21st century competences. We were able to talk a lot with the students about environmental education during the implementation of the programmes. Our students recognised that sustainable development is about using resources in a way that leaves enough for future generations to meet their energy needs. We were able to learn about each other's workshops, opening up new possibilities for setting up workshops. The students and teachers involved in the project would like to disseminate the projects they have completed, the experiences they have gained, the results they have achieved, enabling as many people as possible to benefit from the positive effects of them. The programme provided tailored development opportunities for the individual and the institution, which was an important basis for sustaining results. This project has contributed to the quality and innovation of youth work. During the programmes, students and teachers have developed close and lifelong friendships with students from the partner school.
