Objectives

Erasmusfest was formed from two groups of festivals that emphasize inclusiveness and diversity. The first group of festivals, SportFest, DanceFest, CookFest, ArtFest, came together under common universal values and bridges were built between cultures by working and having fun. With this bridge, we contributed to the digital transformation with DigiFest, one of the second group of festivals, and we worked together for the green future of our world with Greenfest. We drew attention to the environment and climate change, digital transformation and increasing intercultural dialogue with all the festivals we organized. We showed to demonstrate the importance of inclusion and diversity in all aspects of education, training, youth and sports.

Activities

Countries did not emerge from the covid-19 epidemic only by being injured in the fields of economy and health. Socialndistances have been opened, country borders have been closed, and the concept of 'foreigner' in the minds has grown. The main idea of the project was based on the negative effects of the length of our 'stay at home' period. It was thought that it would be a good opportunity to keep the motivations of the institutions, which necessarily decreased with the Covid-19 pandemic, high in the long term with the project activities. ErasmusFest project, it was planned to create a profile of teachers and students who can be purified from all prejudices by entering a genuine dialogue on the way of getting to know and understanding each other, each of which is a different culture. It was aimed that the partners realize that the 'other' can actually be 'us' through the new friendships we would establish with sports, art and music by learning the dishes, music and folk dances of both themselves and different cultures.

Impact

The result we got from the ErasmusFest project is that we saw that with festivals organized by working together, we can focus our minds more easily on production and combating climate change, away from prejudices. The project focused on opening the borders between countries that were tightly closed due to Covid-19 by learning the dances, food, traditional sports and traditional arts of different cultures and on digital production and a green future. We added value to the multicultural European society by finding the opportunity to learn about the local sports, local crafts, local dishes, languages, cultures and forgotten sports of each country .
