โถObjectives
Our project was designed to address the specific objectives and needs of the organizations and their staff involved. We aimed to enhance their skills and capacities in tackling online discrimination, particularly targeting vulnerable groups such as LGBTQI individuals. One of our main objectives was to provide employees with the tools and methodologies they need to effectively combat homophobic cyberbullying. Our goal was to develop a new generation of professionals who can respond concretely and effectively to this growing problem. Furthermore, our project aims to increase the attractiveness and accessibility of professional training related to LGBTQI rights, thereby increasing employability and enabling people to become agents of change in their communities. Moreover, our project offered opportunities for individuals with fewer opportunities to participate in European training and mobility experiences, promoting inclusivity and expanding the reach of the European Union locally. Through communication and dissemination activities, we aimed to strengthen our presence in smaller communities
โถActivities
The activities implemented were as follows: -The first meeting took place in Rome, Italy, where training courses were conducted to improve the digital skills of trainers in identifying the phenomena of homo-transphobic cyberbullying. -The second meeting was held in Skopje, North Macedonia, where workshops were conducted for the creation of specific intervention guidelines against the identified phenomena, intended to be transferred to the learners.
โถImpact
First, the training resulted in a significant improvement in the digital coach discovery tool, with an improvement of at least 60%. This advancement is complemented by the integration of new tools into daily programs, allowing trainees to benefit from similar short-term skill improvements. The medium-term impact was evident when trainers shared the video tutorials with colleagues in other organizations, facilitating adoption of new methodologies and creating an expected 60% improvement among trainees four months post-workshop. Long-term effects were seen when other instructors accessed the training materials through the Community platform, allowing for eight months of sustained skill development. Additionally, sample test results revealed a perceived improvement score of 8 out of 10 among students one month after project completion, indicating successful achievement of the overarching objective. To add to that the project labeled participating organizations as reference points for learners aspiring to work in LGBTQI rights sectors. Long-term benefits included modernization, internationalization, increased professionalism, and the establishment of new collaborations.
