▶Objectives
The 'From Digital to Smart Tourism' project was created to achieve various objectives. In terms of digital transformation, it aimed to enhance the organizational capabilities of tourism professionals, promoting safety and resilience through digital tools. This aligns with the EU Digital Education Action Plan and the Osnabrück Declaration. On the environmental front, the project aimed to raise awareness of sustainable tourism, encouraging investments in staff training and promoting environmental awareness in business operations. This connects with the EU Green New Deal and the need to adapt activities to the EU SME plan for tourism, considering the post-Covid impact. To increase flexibility in professional training opportunities, the project envisioned creating a collection of best practices and a comprehensive manual, facilitating the sustainable transition in the industry. This responds to the new demands of the labor market and the future expectations of employers and businesses, contributing to the sustainable development of tourism.
