โถObjectives
The EDIT - Eco, Digital, Inclusive Tourism Training project aimed to achieve several key objectives to modernize the tourism sector by responding to the needs that emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, we aimed to: - Increase the skills of partner organizations in designing quality training content, ensuring that it met the needs of the tourism market and local communities. - Facilitate the green and digital transition in the tourism sector by aligning professional training with European policies. - Promote sustainable and accessible tourism by preparing tourism professionals to meet new challenges and opportunities. - To build cross-border cooperation for the dissemination of an innovative training model at the European level, fostering sustainable socioeconomic development. In summary, through the EDIT project, we wanted to bridge the gap between the training offer and the emerging needs of the tourism market, actively involving managers and staff of tourism companies in the design and evaluation of new training courses, thus ensuring an adequate and timely response to the needs of the sector
โถActivities
In our project, we fielded several key activities to achieve our objectives as envisioned in the project drafting phase: - Management and Coordination: This activity involved the planning, implementation, closure and follow-up of the project. Regular meetings were held among partners to monitor the progress of the project and resolve any critical issues. - Multistakeholder Transnational Working Tables: We conducted virtual workshops to discuss challenges, solutions and best practices in the tourism sector. These meetings allowed us to collect best practices and develop a toolkit in the form of an e-book. - Structuring EDIT Training Units: This activity involved the creation of three training units and a pilot module on the topics of eco-innovation, digitization and inclusiveness in the tourism sector. - Validation of the EDIT Training Model: We validated the developed training model, collecting data and feedback to further improve the training units. - Communication and Dissemination: We developed an extensive communication and dissemination of the project results at the national and European level, coordinated by COM2
