Objectives

The main achievement of this project was to raise awareness, and create knowledge, training and collaborative tools for farmers and migrant workers in the agricultural sector, as primary target groups, to manage multicultural teams and ensure a labour and social integration in farms where codes of conduct based on diversity, equality and respect are followed to guarantee the rights of all workers. The creation of a web platform including a training and a collaborative work environment can be the key project achievement, starting from a comparison of migrants' conditions within different countries and passing to analysis of case studies, a 3-Module course focused on main issues of multicultural teams management with the development of the dual training material (workers and employers) and the construction of the MILIMAT training and collaboration platform. The multiplier events, one of them international, held in Perugia, Italy, and the piloting tests, have demonstrated the capacity building based on the interest of primary target groups and involvement of public and private organizations, such as municipalities, farmers' and migrants' associations, NGOs active with migrants, trade unions, experts and professionals.

Activities

Based on the preliminary needs analysis, National Reports were conducted by the partners in their own countries, with the aim to design a Transnational Analysis Report-TAR (WP2); then, based on a collection of case studies, from each participating country a Manual of Best Practices (WP3) was designed; following the previous activities, training materials for agricultural entrepreneurs and migrant workers (WP4) were designed to be hosted in an Open Educational Resources (OER) training platform (WP5) and offered to the target groups combined with the collaborative platform (WP5) founded on the MILIMAT Code of Good Conduct (also implemented in WP5). The Training and Collaborative Platforms have been implemented including all tools and services in the last part of the project involving directly external public and private organizations working with migrants hosting and placement. As a consequence of this finalization, some agreements for the use of the training materials and matching services offered by the collaborative platform, 3 or 4 each country, have been signed by the partners with other external organizations.
