Objectives

In regards to the participants - experts and volunteers working with inmates, the objectives were: - improved knowledge of methodologies of rehabilitation, focus on peer learning and motivation - improved knowledge of tools of rehabilitation, including formal ( school, professional courses) and non-formal (forum theatre, sports, therapy) - stronger capacity in terms of approach, working in an international field In regards to the partner organisations, the project objectives were: - increased capacity of working with the target groups - professionals and inmates - increased positive image among stakeholders on a local, national and European level - a strong impact from Erasmus on future work In regards to dissemination, the project objective was: - an increased awareness on the matter among general population and civil organisations ( through press conferences, traditional media and social media)

Activities

During the project, we implemented the following activities: - Ongoing project management and coordination to assure achievement of results - Training for professionals and volunteers through SILTA Good practices of rehabilitation - Training for professionals and volunteers through UISP Good practices of rehabilitation - Training for professionals and volunteers through good practices of Bulgarian partners of rehabilitation - Dissemination of good practices in partner countreis identified during the project through a Handbook Stories behind Bars - Ongoing dissemination in traditional and social medew of results to raise awareness of the problems of rehabilitation

Impact

During the project 3 transnational training activities have been organised for the experts and volunteers working with 4 partner organisations in 3 countries: Bulgaria, Italy and Finland. As a result 53 professionals and volunteers have been trained and increased their competences in rehabilitation. The feedback has been positive both from the participants and the management of the organisations they work in. The main output of the project is teh Handbook Stories Behind Bars that is a collection of good practices of rehabilitation identifies by the partners, interviews with professionals and success stories of inmates. The partner organisations increased their image and capacity to work on Erasmus+ program. 3 of the partners developed a new project with a Slovak partner on Forum Theatre for rehabilitation that was inspired by the activities of the current project. Reach of the dissemination activities: - partner network contacts - 1000 people ( through social media and direct meetings) - local radios and regional TV and pronted press - more than 100 000 people - Social media reach - 1000 people - Facebook + posts from the organisations' websites - Project handbook - around 1000 people ( to be reached)
