▶Objectives
AMBITION’s general obj. aimed to contribute to the formation of the future generation of qualified science ambassadors for sustainable innovation in both EU-AU, able to carry out research projects tailored to the different economic, environmental and cultural challenges by providing evidence-based results and informing policymakers. The specific objectives: -1. To co-design and implement a JointHonoursProgramme for PhD talented candidates across the partner university (INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL) as an asset for international cooperation to boost the contribution of multidisciplinary science and competences in the sustainable transition in both EU-AU universities. -2 To enrich the capacity of PhD candidates and provide them with a proper enabling environment in terms of skills and platform (PEOPLE LEVEL) enabling them to act as science ambassadors to boost sustainable innovation in the EU-AU countries partner universities. -3 To consolidate PHD education as a strategic asset (STRATEGIC LEVEL) for countries and regions since it fosters the role of science diplomacy and responsible research with the aim to create an added value for society and policy-makers when dealing with the global challenges and just sustainable transition.

The above specific objective has been associated to activities that leaded to the results and outcomes: - Developing the Cooperation Model, the MOU and the final Regulation - Defining Curricula and syllabuses for the Winter/Summer Schools - Selecting and design the Complementary Skill modules - Designing and animating the MOODLE platform - Co-Create the Game-based Learning with PhD Students - Producing the Policy Briefs by the Ph.Ds - Preparing and disseminating the White Paper - Organizing Stakeholder’s Meeting
▶Impact
The main activities and results achieved during the project are (all completed): OBJ1 has been developed in WP2 and addressed the priority “Environment and fight against climate change”. The associated results are · R2.1 Manual of the Regulation & Study Plan for the Joint Honours Programme including a MOU and Diploma Supplement recognition procedure · R2.2 Three Sustainable Innovation Winter/Summers Schools organized on topics associated to the sustainable transitions (2 in Africa, 1 in Europe) OBJ2 has been developed in WP3 and addressed the Priority “Rewarding excellence in learning, teaching and skills development”. The associated results are: · R3.1 On-line Web series on Complementary Skills. short courses delivery · R3.2 PhD AMBITION Gateway based on MOODLE technology implementation OBJ3 has been achieved through WP3 and addressed the Priority “Common values, civic engagement and participation". The associated results are · R4.1 Game-Based Learning on Sustainable Transition for Undergraduate/High School Students · R4.2 Policy briefs prepared by PhD Students · R4.3 “White Paper” as a guideline for future implementation and upscaling
