Objectives

It aimed to raise public awareness of climate change issues and encourage the search for solutions through 21st-century digital skills and innovative teaching approaches. It promoted the development of students' ICT skills, as well as their personal and social skills that are not often developed through normal classroom teaching: creativity, teamwork, etc. The ITEC “Designing the Classrooms of the Future”strategies encouraged students to work on real-world problems throughout the project. The aim was to: improve the quality of teachers' digital teaching and learning methods Provide students with the opportunity to use new technologies appropriately Enable students to get to know their European peers in daily life: comparing different realities Provide the opportunity to integrate technological knowledge with other disciplines Guiding students in research on local environmental issues and collaborate with environmental associations Creating links between partners and developing innovative minds Making each participating institution more knowledgeable and open to other European institutions/projects Creating useful products within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 partnership with the integration of local institutions

Activities

The methodology was based on a project that used eTwinning and itec-designing classrooms of the future with 21st-century digital skills Learning programming with ARDUINO in ecological improvement. Eco-land 3D models for a greener and cleaner environment. Acquiring skills to work on the e-learning platforms “Moodle and Wanda” Integration of “programming with STEAM” into the environmental education process Use of the PYTHON programming language in the search for solutions to climate change The following planned activities were carried out: creation of a website Project brochure/handbook Video activities E-book: “ecological land model” Presentation using Scratch on the topic of climate change Presentation in Canva of environmental issues/damage caused by climate change in the partners' areas of origin Construction/programming of a robot to solve environmental problems (Arduino and/or Phyton) Creation of a 3D ecological model for a greener and cleaner environment thanks to sustainable energy sources (Sketchup 3D program) Workshops to encourage local communities to develop ideas on prevention International conference on the possibility of using environmental education and environmental issues to activate local communities.
