βΆObjectives
By implementing this project, we wanted to create a safer and more equitable environment for women in public spaces. We aimed not only to raise awareness of the problem of gender-based violence, but also to provide women with the knowledge and tools to recognize violence, protect themselves from it, and seek help. We also sought to educate the public, encouraging them to understand the causes and consequences of gender-based violence. Our goals were to raise awareness by informing and educating the public about the prevalence of gender-based violence, its forms and impact on women. We wanted to provide prevention by equipping women and girls with the knowledge and skills to recognize the danger of violence and how to act to avoid violence or reduce its risk. We aimed to provide information about existing assistance and support measures that women can turn to if they experience violence. Finally, we wanted to encourage dialogue and cooperation among various groups in society to create a safer environment for women. We hoped that this project would contribute to the reduction of gender-based violence and ensure the safety of women in public spaces.
βΆActivities
Work Package 1: Management and Implementation. Activities included project planning and coordination, developing a detailed project plan, defining roles and responsibilities, and establishing communication channels. Financial management was also a key part, managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Development of Educational Resources. These work packages were dedicated to the creation of three major educational products. These included a Handbook of the State of The Art, a comprehensive guide summarizing the current knowledge and best practices related to gender-based violence in public spaces. We also created a Digital Good Practice Guide, a practical resource offering tools and strategies for preventing and addressing gender-based violence in public spaces. The Online Training was an interactive training program designed to educate individuals on the issue of gender-based violence in public spaces. The Online Toolkit was a collection of resources and materials that can be used to raise awareness and promote action on gender-based violence in public spaces. Work Package 5: Promotion and Dissemination focused on raising awareness about the project and its results.
