By implementing the Beginner Guides project, we aimed to achieve several key outcomes at both the student and institutional levels. For students, our primary goal was to increase their cultural and intercultural awareness. We wanted them to develop a stronger connection to their own country’s heritage—its history, geography, literature and traditions—while also fostering curiosity and appreciation for the cultural diversity of other European nations. Alongside cultural awareness, we sought to enhance students’ ICT skills through the use of mobile applications and online tools, as well as improve transferrable skills such as communication, teamwork, research and organization. Ultimately, we wanted to boost their motivation for learning and self-confidence by involving them in meaningful and collaborative activities. For our institutions, the project aimed to strengthen the European dimension and encourage international collaboration. By promoting communication and cooperation among schools, teachers, and students, we aspired to foster mutual understanding and exchange best practices.
