Objectives

The project was aimed to reach the following objectives: - to develop a curriculum about Media Literacy of Adults (a curriculum that will empower the adults in their understanding of how media content influences us and others and to become able to access, analyze, evaluate, create and use the media); - to strengthen the organizational capacities in the development and implementation of curricula; - to create an OER platform for the curricula, as an innovative way of learning and self-assessment

Activities

During the project, the following activities were implemented: - Coordinative online meetings; - First Transnational Meeting; - Development of curriculum for Media Literacy for Adults; - Second Transnational Meeting; - Piloting and Improving the Curriculum; - Development of OER platform; - Third Transnational Meeting; - Final Multiplier Event.

Impact

During the project, we successfully fulfilled the objectives and had the following outcomes: - Developed curriculum for Media Literacy for Adults addressing the topics of recognizing fake news, visual media literacy, online safety and privacy and being a responsible creator. The developed curriculum empowers the participants to engage with media content critically and be responsible when using the media. - Strengthening of the organizational capacities was evident in the three partner institutions since all institutions have different approaches to addressing adult learning. The project introduced unique training methods (indoors and outdoors) and a self-assessment game on the OER platform. This has strengthened our collective capacity to design and deliver effective educational programs. - The established OER platform offers self-assessment in four languages (Macedonian, Turkish, Greek, and English). The OER platform makes Media Literacy accessible and offers learning opportunities to everyone with a digital device.
