The project aimed to provide high-quality, tested, and cost-effective guidelines for designing and producing tactile books and illustrations and book examples. It also contributed to a strengthened national and international cooperation in this field, while supporting the development of literacy, concept-building skills, and broader educational opportunities for VI children.
▶Activities
The project involved the following main activities: conducting preliminary research and developing a clear methodology and terminology; producing tactile books and illustrations to test the guidelines with VI children; and implementing a dissemination strategy, including a training programme for professionals and caretakers, webinars, national events, and a network campaign to share knowledge and results.
