Empowering Youth Work for the Green Debate

Objectives Support youth organizations and YWs in climate action in achieving deep learning and reflection on climate action by young people, and their target groups Support debate-focused youth organizations in addressing climate change through their programmes to answer the needs and interests of young people in their youth clubs Connect YWs addressing climate action and/or using debate methods in their work across the EU, including grassroots youth initiatives with a digital support network Activities Develop an E-learning course for youth workers and volunteers who wish to work on climate change education using debate methodology. Develop a case study guide to help youth workers and youth organizations discuss complex climate crisis issues with young people. Create a Digital platform for support, communication, exchange of practices so we can support all youth workers, youth initiatives, and youth clubs who want to engage with climate and sustainability-related content and debate methodology Impact The project will enable youth organizations and youth workers to increase the quality of their work, introduce the topic of climate action to more young people and use a digital platform with 2000 initial users will help increase volunteer retention and quality and sustainability of youth work . Over 1000 youth workers will be directly engaged with products we will develop including 80 hours of E-learning content and over 20 comprehensive case studies on climate change issues.
