▶Objectives
Music4Change aims to improve the quality of PhD education in music through innovative, inclusive interdisciplinary teaching and learning which focuses on the contribution of music and the arts in reaching sustainable development goals. By establishing mutually beneficial transnational co-operation between higher education and the music sector it will strengthen post study career paths, and create knowledge exchanges that will benefit music stakeholders and the wider society.
▶Activities
The project will implement a new Curriculum for Change for PhD education in music through the development of open access interdisciplinary digital resources and blended learning courses. Cross sector knowledge exchange will be fostered through innovative Living Lab workshops and a mentorship scheme tailored to support the needs of diverse student profiles and stakeholders in the arts and culture sector.
▶Impact
Music4Change will strengthen the field of music studies by increasing interdisciplinarity, digital competency, and cross sector collaboration. Improved exhange between the education and arts sectors and the implementation of SDG in arts research will heighten the value of music PhDs, and serve as an innovative model for Europe wide PhD education that fosters socially responsible research and brings the power and possibilities of the arts to key public issues.
