▶Objectives
We wanted to increase students' involvement in school life stimulate pro-social attitudes, develop a sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team, and promote themselves and their school using joint activities. We have made an attempt to develop students' competences not only in taking care of their physical and psychosocial health, but we also tried to develop skills that are necessary in fulfilling social roles or performing various professional duties in the future. Project activities contributed to the development of a strategy for promoting health education in local communities. Creating a lasting partnership between schools from Italy and Poland by sharing experiences in eliminating negative stimuli affecting young people, especially during the pandemic.
▶Activities
The actions we have taken, created conditions for developing key competences among students based on 5 thematic blocks: 1.Physical development and physical fitness. 2 Physical activity. 3.Safety in physical activity. 4. Health education. 5. Social competences ACTION 1 Developing competences in understanding and creating information. Students participated in a physical fitness test. They interpreted the results independently and drew conclusions. ACTION 2 Developing competences in the field of cultural awareness and expression. We used dance as a modern form of movement and as a form of great integration and cultural learning. ACTION 3 Developing awareness of responsibility for students’ own health and the health of others. Security in sport. Topics which were covered: fair play, violence in stadiums, racism in sport. ACTION 4 Developing personal, social and learning competences. Topics related to health education and prevention. ACTIVITY 5 Developing civic and social competences. Students created and implemented activities for their local communities.
▶Impact
-The dissemination of information was an integral part of the project in schools. The result was the implementation of good practices, sharing the gained experience and disseminating the impact of the actions taken on students, teachers and environment - Methods and forms of work developed during the project that support school adaptation and students’ reintegration after the pandemic. The effect is strengthening students' mental resilience and improve interpersonal relationships at school. -Students developed key competencies, including: communication in a foreign language, development of positive pro-social attitudes, improvement of health awareness and group cooperation skills. -Increasing students' awareness and responsibility for their own health and the health of others -Expanding first aid competences. Learning procedures for dealing with accidents and injuries. -School and non-school environments have been merged. The result of international cooperation were scripts, surveys, presentations and films.
