โถObjectives
The aim of the project was to develop attitudes that will lead to caring for the environment. It was also about drawing attention to the imbalance in the environment caused by all kinds of climate changes and incompetent management of natural resources both in Poland and in the partner countries - Turkey and Spain. The project was intended to enrich participants with knowledge about renewable energy sources, show the possibility of recycling many used materials of various types, which was used during the workshops, increase awareness of the importance of rational management of our environment and our sustainable future, as well as the impact of our behavior on our health and internal balance. The aim was also to draw the participants' special attention to green skills and activities in the area of "reduce-reuse-recycle", which resulted in the creation of good habits. Contact with nature and practicing sports were aimed at encouraging young people to spend time outdoors. The aim of the project was also to exchange experiences at each of the established points and to exchange good practices.
โถActivities
During the project, the following activities were carried out: "Basics of Ecological Life" in Turkey, "We're Moving Classes Out" in Spain and "We Share Eco School Experiences" in Poland. The host schools were responsible for them and prepared a 5-day program. Workshops were held in Turkey, highlighting innovative methods of practical learning about ecology, climate change and reducing water pollution. Their aim was to increase awareness of environmentally friendly education, introduce renewable energy sources and increase ecological skills. In Spain, outdoor activities were promoted (trekking, rafting, dancing, windsurfing), and the benefits of learning in the field were indicated. A visit to a vulture reserve and cleaning the river with kayaks emphasized the need to protect biodiversity and reduce pollution. The Polish school shared eco-school knowledge. The Botanical Garden, Geopark, Landscape Park were visited, workshops were held in the forest district, apiary and recycling workshops. This was the basis for talks on the relationship between preserving biodiversity and protecting the natural environment, and emphasized the need to increase pro-ecological awareness. It was complemented by a cultural and historical program.
โถImpact
Participation in the project brought results in the area of increasing the ecological awareness of all participants, which translated into an increase in pro-ecological behavior and increased knowledge regarding climate change and behaviors enabling making conscious and responsible decisions regarding activities that may affect the climate. They also learned about behaviors related to the protection of the natural environment and biodiversity by reducing waste generated. They improved their knowledge about the benefits of outdoor activities and outdoor activities. The material results include the developed Eco-guide, waste segregation stations, and corners promoting Erasmus+ projects. An additional effect of the project was the improvement of language skills as well as qualifications in the area of international project management, writing applications, and cooperation with European educational institutions.
