By implementing this project, the Special Educational Center in Ziemięcice aimed primarily at increasing the possibilities of high-quality education for children with autism spectrum disorder through the development of original / specialized solutions - 6 teaching tools (books for participatory reading with pictograms, according to the PECS method, supplemented with educational games) supported by IT solutions that facilitate work with children. Additional goals of the project were: - improving the qualifications of teaching staff in the field of methods of working with children with intellectual disabilities on the autism spectrum using alternative communication; - improving the qualifications of teaching staff in the field of "digital pedagogy". - Acquisition/development of skills to be transferred through materials used by teachers in the teaching process for distance learning and blended learning; - improving the competences of teaching staff in the use of English; - development of students' skills and attitudes resulting from the topics and goals of educational activities conducted using tools developed during the project and implementation of mobility by students participating in the project

The activities implemented during the implementation of this project include: - establishing international, multicultural cooperation and creating an international team of specialist teachers whose task was to develop specialized teaching tools for working with children on the autism spectrum; - creation of an international group of teachers / specialists on the E-Twinning platform, which can support each other every day, exchange experiences, advise each other in solving various situations related to working with disabled people, as well as exchange articles, effects of their own work, ideas, thanks to the possibility of posting materials and studies; - establishing methodological guidelines for the teaching tool (establishing uniform graphic symbols used in PECS, joint selection of legends to be developed, developing the concept of board games with multimedia elements and implementing them in e-learning; - development of 6 specialized teaching tools; - expert consultations (external experts - employees of pedagogical universities assessed the developed tools); - mobility of teachers, disabled children and their guardians to test the tool in a partner country.

The main effect of the project was the involvement of 6 teachers/special educators from two countries (Leader's Organization and Partner Institution) in the development of original solutions - specialized teaching materials (participatory reading books with pictograms according to the PECS method supplemented with educational games) supported by IT solutions helping in working with children on the autism spectrum. So 6 books were prepared and published: 3 Polish and 3 Turkish legends, each published in 3 languages: Polish, Turkish and English, and each in an edition of 60 copies, on special, reinforced printing paper (more durable). Additionally, the following were implemented: - mobility of the Turkish delegation to Poland and the Polish delegation to Turkey (3 special educators and a coordinator each) in order to conduct joint project activities - work on the development of materials; - mobility of 4 children with autism spectrum disorder and their guardians; - conducting 2 international conferences in Poland and Turkey; - creating 1 project profile on social media; - creation of a discussion group on the E-Twinning platform; - acquiring university specialists in the field of special education, maintaining permanent cooperation.
