Summary

The application for this project was a consequence of the successful completion of the previously implemented project ReNewEurope and the joint consortium members' willingness to further develop the elaborated educational concept, both in terms of "deepening" and "widening" its content. The "deepening" was achieved through the development of new thematic Training packages, with new, very interesting educational materials. The "widening" took place through the inclusion of new partners, which enriched the already existing educational materials with their contribution and actively participated in the elaboration of the new ones. In that sense, we saw the need to EUROPIA main objectives is to develop an innovative, holistic, integral and modular training approach for enhancing the capacities of university academia to conduct education process in the field of European history, law and politics with a specific & target focus on the shared European values, principles, identity and awareness. EUROPIA main objectives was to develop an innovative, holistic, integral and modular training approach for enhancing the capacities of university academia to conduct education process in the field of European history, law and politics with a specific & target focus on the shared European values, principles, identity and awareness. Through this, the project aimed to raise the awareness of the university academia about the need to organize and conduct on-wheels schools in European history, law and politics from the viewpoint of the shared European values, principles and identity to overcome the existing stereotypes and prejudice in students from different parts of Europe. To elaborate specific and high-quality materials that shall define and overcome the problems of how the European studies are taught in different countries for the benefit of both academia & students and society in general. To develop the competences of university academia in on-wheels school organisation and conduction with students. To stress the importance for deeper understanding of the EU concept “United in diversity” through defining the main principles and approaches for stimulation of the socio-cultural competencies of the higher education teaching staff.

Impact

The concrete results of EUROPIA project are the preparation of a Conceptual Framework in the project languages. The creation of three new Training Packages TK5, TK6 and TK7 and the update of TK's1,2,3&4 with the Spanish content. The development of a Manual and a Guidebook accomplished the tasks within WP2. Within WP3 a project website europiaproject.eu was created and an educational training platform, with all the necessary functionalities and open access. The organization and conduct of the piloting On Wheels Summer School in August 2024 in Warsaw was the key result of WP4, followed by piloting at national levels. Within WP5.... In addition, to all the planned outputs, based on the nature of the collaboration between the project partners, we agreed to go beyond the initial strictly educational goals and to add a scholar component based on our fields of interests and contributions. Hence, we organized a scholar conference Current Challenges for the Rule of Law in Europe, which we used for the promotion of Europia and for a publication to be published in Nov.25.
