▶Objectives
The FAAI project aimed to bridge the digital skills gap in several European countries by fostering collaboration between higher education institutions (HEIs) and businesses, with a focus on applied artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Our key objectives included aligning competencies with job profiles, guided by the "IEEE Federated Machine Learning White Paper" and ethical AI standards. We aimed to: - Close the skills gap outlined in the European Commission’s 'e-Skills for Jobs' campaign. - Modernize curricula by integrating new trends in ICT, Big Data, and AI. - Build a network of key partners, focusing on underrepresented talent pools and those lacking traditional credentials. - Create an AI Job Hub to promote business opportunities and real-world AI applications. - Support internships and PhD collaborations between HEIs and businesses. Ultimately, the project sought to create a sustainable ecosystem that enhances AI education, job opportunities, and skills development across Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Serbia, and Montenegro.
