Objectives

We wanted to create universal educational materials that can be used across the EU in all Member States. Educational materials that would address the needs of the employers in the area of Industry 5.0 and will provide high quality training for young engineers. With this project we aimed at preparation of a set of specialized vocational courses in the field of modern industrial automation systems and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) with the aspect of cybersecurity as a key component of digitalization, and test them on a group recruited, intended for young people 18+ , especially in the last years of secondary schools and first years of university studies. We aimed at creation of the set of courses that intended to provide practical introduction for young engineers entering the labor market, in the area of the newest technologies and the most crucial issues in the Industry 5.0 such as automation, green energy and cybersecurity to address the needs in the professional trainings, prepare young engineers for the future jobs and employers’ expectations but also show the new opportunities and new jobs that are emerging.

Activities

During the project the following activities were implemented: Within WP2 - design, preparation, testing and execution of: 6 syllabi and 6 training courses: Introduction to Automation and Digitalization in Industry 4.0; Artificial Intelligence & Digital Industry; Introduction to Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy; Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy – Advanced for Industry 4.0; A Defender - Introduction to Cybersecurity in Industry 4.0; Secure Industrial Environment – Advanced for Industry 4.0. An additional and not included in the original Grant Application was Set of Questionnaires created for a market research with on the skills needed by future and potential employers conducted in Poland, Spain and Romania that has confirmed the original concept of the project and the areas of the competences to be covered with the syllabi and teaching materials. Within WP3 - Pilot training courses to test educational materials on the recruited groups of young people. Within WP4 – evaluation and execution of the final version of all courses In WP 5 promotional activities to inform about execution of the project, reaching the milestones, promote the project, its aims and benefits, promote Erasmus + programme, promote project’s results.

Impact

Creation of the online educational platform that hosts all the materials prepared within the project that includes 6 syllabi and 6 courses. The platform was a step towards the MOOCs (Massive open online course) as a part of the response to the changes brought about by digitization. This was made to follow the trend of many EU initiatives to redesign education through use of digital technology providing high quality education on digitalization accessible anywhere, anytime and at scale. Thanks to prepared materials and the platform the role of educator shifts from the teacher to a learning coach, according to the newest trends of digital education supported by the German University of Digital Science or Hasso Platter Institute. Survey and report on the needs of the future employers conducted in Poland, Romania, Spain Creation of the 6 Syllabi for the Courses in English, Polish, Romanian and Spanish Creation of the educational materials for 6 Courses in English, Polish, Romanian and Spanish Preparation of the Quality Assurance Book for educators to help them to execute training courses.
