BEEUC aimed to promote active European citizenship by using music, dance, and artistic performances as tools for intercultural and intergenerational exchange. Through mobilities, workshops, and cultural events, we had work to strengthen European identity and foster a shared sense of belonging among participants from Portugal, Sweden, and Greece. Key objectives included: - Enhancing European Identity, by encouraging reflection on shared values, rights, and responsibilities. - Fostering Intercultural & Intergenerational Exchange by bringing students, teachers, new and older musicians and dance performers together in collaborative experiences. - Encouraging Mobility & Cooperation by promoting cross-border collaboration and first-hand cultural experiences. - Using Arts for Social Inclusion by leveraging music and dance as universal tools for unity. - Connecting Peripheral Regions to the European Project by demonstrating the relevance of European identity beyond large cities. - Creating Sustainable Partnerships by establishing long-term networks for future cooperation. Through these activities, our BEEUC reinforced the so important European values, cultural heritage, and civic engagement across generations and regions.

The BEEUC project implemented four key areas of activities: (a) international mobilities, (b) cultural workshops, (c) public events, and (d) institutional meetings to promote European citizenship. (a) International mobilities took place in Guarda, Klippan, Bragança, and Patras, where participants engaged in artistic performances, music and dance workshops, and discussions with policymakers, including Members of the EU Parliament, the Presidency of Bragança City Hall and the authorities of the Western Region of Greece in Patras. (b) Cultural workshops focused on European identity, intergenerational learning, and inclusion. Participants co-created artistic pieces through music, dance, and educational discussions on EU values. (c) Public events, including the Europe Day Celebration (May 9, 2024), featured performances, civic discussions, and cultural exchanges, engaging both participants and the local community. (d) Institutional meetings ensured proper coordination, impact assessment, and sustainability of the project. Through these activities, BEEUC successfully strengthened European identity and intercultural collaboration.

Several tangible outputs and significant results, strengthened European identity through arts, cultural exchange, and civic engagement. 1 Published Materials and Digital Resources - A project book, "EU Identity: From Past to Success", documenting the historical evolution of European citizenship. - The BEEUC website (www.beeuc.eu), hosting project materials, event summaries, and participant testimonials. 2 International Artistic and Educational Activities - Four mobility programs in Guarda, Klippan, Bragança, and Patras, engaging students, teachers, and older musicians in music and dance workshops. - The Europe Day Celebration (May 9, 2024, Bragança) with performances and civic discussions on European values. 3 Political and Institutional Engagement - Discussions with European Parliament deputies, the Presidency Bragança City Hall, authorities of Western Region (Patras) project’s civic dimension. - Strengthened connections between educational institutions, cultural organizations, and local governments. 4 Long-Term Impact and Sustainability -Creation of sustainabl network between institutions for future European cultural projects. - Increased awareness European citizenship, social inclusion, and intergenerational among participants
