Objectives

With this project, interdisciplinarity and the implementation of greener measures were achieved. The activities were designed to encourage pupils and the local population to become aware of climate and environmental protection. It was possible to implement the following topics: • "Green behaviours", in terms of food, recycling, energy, mobility and consumption. • "Learning by doing", through collaborative work and learning activities in favourable spaces. • “Co-operation”, promoting of the quality of work, the social and educational value of European cultural and environmental heritage, the regional dimension. • “Outdoor Teaching”, increasing application of interactive and collective games in the teaching context. • “Cross-border learning”, improve motivation and social skills through trust, care, kindness and empathy. • “Web tools”, use digital tools effectively develop digital skills by practicing the Web 2.0 tools. • “Linguistic communication”, improving the use of the English language with their peers and interaction with foreign students.

Activities

The activities aimed to develop students' learning skills through the motivation of observing the environment around them, developing creative thinking and self-confidence. Students also developed their digital skills by working with different resources and tools. In addition, they became active participants in the EU, knowing how to respect different cultures and increasing their communication and interaction skills in the English language. The following activities were carried out, specifically: Logo competition, Christmas Postcards, Articles, Art with Recyclable Materials, Good Partices, Survey, Outdoor Games, Outdoor Teaching Lessons, Presentations, Quizzes/Online Games, Lectures, Colaborative Book and World Environment Day

Impact

The activities carried out by the partners, fostered the understanding of the importance of protecting the environment through the realisation of activities in nature and outdoors. In addition, outdoor classes were enhanced, so there was a motivational increase of students for learning, comunication, cooperation and teamwork.
