We wanted to have Portugal and Denmark providing knowledge and good practices to implement efectively in Romania and Turkye on waste management and reclying at schools. We wanted to achive new trainers in Turkey and Romania that could continue training in the upcoming years and we wanted to provide and engage with hundreds of students and parents in both countries. Also to monitor more waste collected by creating donation centre. The SCSF project aligns with the Europe 2020 Strategy, addressing sustainable growth through efficient resource management, waste reduction, and donation systems. The main objectives of the project were as follows: 1 To develop a waste management and donation system in partner countries 1.1. To create awareness about zero waste and donation; 1.2. To build a waste management and donation centre; 1.3. To create a system and documentation about waste sorting; 2 To build up capacity in partner organizations in terms of sustainable cities and sustainable future; 2.1. To find needy people and to help them; 2.2. To contribute to circular economy of Europe by waste management, effective use of resources and donation; 2.3. To involve at least 400 beneficiaries in the SCSF project and educate them waste-conscious.

The SCSF project enhanced waste management awareness through key activities. Administrative tasks established teams, monitoring, and financial management. A virtual Kick-off Meeting aligned partners on objectives and responsibilities. Surveys and case studies assessed local needs. Implementation in Turkey and Romania involved training for Waste Management and Donation Centers. In Romania, 15 teachers became trainers, delivering 6 sessions to 130 students and 105 parents/community members. In Turkey, 12 teachers led 7 trainings for 493 students, 2 sessions for 187 parents, and 2 for 96 citizens in Izmit. Two Learning-Teaching-Training (LTT) activities took place: LTT in Portugal (19 participants) focused on waste sorting and best practices, while LTT in Denmark (15 participants) explored waste management and recycling through site visits. Dissemination ensured visibility with videos, a website, Instagram updates, and two events (Turkey: 51 participants, Romania: 153). Interim and final evaluation meetings assessed progress and sustainability. The project developed training materials, an online logging system, and issued "Waste Conscious Labels" to engaged participants, fostering long-term behavioral change.

The concrete outputs were: 1 - LTT in Portugal 19 participants, LTT in Denmark 15 participants 2 - 15 teachers became trainers in RO and did 6local trainings with a total of 130 students and 105 parents and community members 3 - 12 teachers became trainers in TR and did 7 trainings with a total of 493 students and 2 trainings for 187 parents and also did two trainings for citizens and community members of Izmit with 96 participants 4 - Adept in Romania did dissemination event on the 27th September 2024 with 154 participants and with participation of: Danish Embassy, Bucharest municipality and a total of 4 schools present. Also participated Turkish teachers and C4G. 5 - Izmit in Turkye did dissemination event on ther 24th May 2024 with 51 participants and with participation of Directorate of education of Izmit and also teachers from Romania, C4G and others 6 - one website https://sc-sf.eu/, 2 videos, several manuals, flyers, instagram and facebook 7 - with donation centres Turkye increased collected paper in 2023 350kg, battery 9kg, plastic bottles 25kg and in 2024 paper to 980kg 8 - with donation centres Romania increased paper 125kg in 2023 to 225kg total and to 450kg in 2024 and plastic to 75kg.
