Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to raise environmental awareness for all participants involved directly and indirectly in the project, increase the frequency of STEAM activities inside and outside the school, raise the interest of teachers and students in all STEAM subjects and also to involve them in order to gain competences in STEAM subjects, develop the cooperation, collaboration, peer-learning and socio-emotional skills of students, but also of teachers by implementing a set of peer activities in order to achieve those, increase the level of knowledge in English language, to learn a set of words and vocabulary related to the topic included in the project, include min. 20 % students with lesser chances (social, economical, geographical), create a set of environmental informative materials and presentations (presentations realized by the students being supervised by teachers) , develop an eco-friendly attitude necessary to continue the work started by implementing the project, raise the ICT competences by being involved in numerous activities that required technology and digital knowledge for both students and teachers, gain information about other cultures, by travelling in those countries, students and teachers.

Activities

The project was divided into three stages dealing with certain environmental topics, each related to the possibilities of a particular partner.  Clean nature, healthy world (RO)  Green energy (PL)  Hand in Hand for Nature (TR) Those were the topics of international mobilities which were preceded by local activities in each partner school during which partners taught their students about a given topic of a coming mobility and students prepared presentations within that topic. Partners decided to switch the order of the Polish and Turkish LTTs, which resulted from availability of certain activities proposed by partners and travel possibilities and costs. Hosting partners carried out all activities planned in the application form with slight modifications allowing to improve the quality of activities and increase the results (bringing added value) eg. the Polish partner took the guests to a bigger water power plant than that originally planned or organized a trip to Magura National Park and showed ways to protect the environment and endangered species. During local work partners organised local activities and environmental days / events related to the issues being analyzed within the project (World Water Day, Energy Efficiency)

Impact

We had tangible and intangible results. Students assisted by teachers created a set of environmental presentations, quizzes, informative materials or displays, which were used as educational resources in partner schools and shared with stakeholders. The students and teachers increased environmental awareness through opportunities to experience, compare and share the knowledge with other people. Each partner has an eco-garden and Erasmus corner maintained by students. Brochures, promotional materials (agenda, pen, cups, key rings, folders, badges), banner, roll up, Facebook page, eTwinning project, dissemination in media and TV (47), conference, workshop, exhibition , were done, and all these were supervised by the Romanian coordinator in order to complete all the project objectives. The students and teachers were deeply involved in all local activities, they enjoyed to be a part in this important project. Other institutions as well were interested in this project because it brought a fresh air, an opportunity to bring in front of a wider public important issues of the environment. 90 certificates of participation. - a Final dissemination event organised in schools, facebook page.
