โถObjectives
The GREENES represented a transformative initiative designed to enhance the capacities of institutions and individuals in Serbia, North Macedonia, and Slovenia to effectively address emerging energy challenges through the integration of advanced digital tools in the renewable energy sector. Recognizing the rapid evolution of global energy systems and the growing importance of digitalization, the project aimed to bridge critical gaps in expertise by building competencies in cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), SCADA, and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) technologies. This approach was carefully aligned with the European Union's sustainability goals, particularly the European Green Deal and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, ensuring that regional efforts contribute to the broader objective of environmental and economic stability. One of the primary goals of the GREENES project was to foster regional cooperation through the creation of a transnational module, establishing a unique platform for knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and policy alignment. By strengthening educational systems and enabling cross-border collaboration, the project facilitated the development of a skilled workforce.
โถActivities
All planned activities were implemented with a high degree of completion. These activities included the development of specialized syllabus for eight courses across all three institutions, the creation of educational materials, and the organization of workshops focused on the application of IoT, UAV, SCADA, and other digital tools. Efforts were directed toward improving energy efficiency, process management, promoting sustainable practices, and building digital competencies among students, teachers, and industry professionals in the region. These initiatives contributed to strengthening institutional capacities and supported regional cooperation for a sustainable energy future. Project management activities ensured seamless coordination and monitoring through regular meetings and communication among partners. Development activities included the creation of specialized curricula, digital training modules, and educational materials focused on IoT, UAV, and blockchain applications in renewable energy. Implementation activities covered workshops, training sessions, and the preparation of case studies to apply and enhance these innovations. Dissemination activities involved publications, webinars, public events, and digital campaigns.
