Objectives

The purpose of that project was to investigate the contemporary labor market and, first and foremost, define the so-called new professions and future professions in the field of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). In doing so, we collaborated directly with businesses, in other words, with the economy. Through these activities, we identified best practices in each partner country, defined the competencies required for specific professions. The ultimate outcome provided a clear and concise overview of future professions, encompassing the systematization of individual job positions and the competencies required for them. The final result was presented in the form of a printed manual and an online version (website).

Activities

Contemporary trends in the field of computer science and ICT technologies are changing at an unprecedented pace. Technologies that are current today can become obsolete tomorrow. The labor market itself struggles to adapt to this speed, and educational systems find it even more challenging to keep up with these trends. If educational institutions want to stay in line with this development, they must continuously and directly collaborate with employers who usually have a clearer overview of the labor market's dynamics and the need for competent workforce at any given moment.
