Objectives

The general objective of the project was to enhance the capacities of the partner organizations in promoting and fostering impact-driven financing, utilizing the term "impact investment," regardless of whether financial returns were anticipated. The distinction between "impact investors" and traditional donors lay in their strategies for formulating and assessing the outcomes of their financial contributions. While donors typically evaluated inputs, outputs, and results at the culmination of a project, impact investors looked beyond and sought to gauge the enduring effects of their investments. Throughout this project, our focus was on fortifying the capabilities of our organizations in the realm of impact investments, achieved through international exchanges and collaborations. By the project's conclusion, our intention was to develop a preliminary blueprint for a digital service package designed to build the capacities of potential impact investors. Subsequently, this plan could be trialed and refined either independently within the partner organizations, or on an international scale in a subsequent project. Ideally, it would find realization within a larger international partnership.
