▶Objectives
The goal of the partnership was to improve the behavior of the participants towards socially responsible behavior, responsible consumption, and environmental protection. We motivated the participants to participate more in the life of the local community and to help vulnerable groups of residents and supported the students' critical thinking, both in relation to learning and their own behavior. By implementing this project, we wanted to achieve several key goals that would contribute to the improvement of the educational process, the personal development of students and teachers, as well as to the strengthening of the local community and sustainable development. An important goal was to update and modernize educational areas. We wanted to connect formal and informal education, support problem-based, experiential and participatory learning, which would enable pupils to develop their creativity, responsibility, organizational competence and engagement. In the end, we wanted to create valuable outputs and teaching materials that could be used in the educational process even after the end of the project and contribute to the long-term development of our school and community.
▶Activities
The activities were divided into several phases and implemented in cooperation with partner schools from three countries. In the first phase, we focused on ecological behavior and a healthy lifestyle. We carried out ecological initiatives and ecological trips. The outputs of this phase were an eco-flight guide, a healthy lifestyle guide and an organic menu for young people. The second phase of the project was dedicated to activities on responsible consumption and lifestyle, workshops on regional traditions and sustainable development of the region. We have prepared instructions for upcycling and an Ecological Christmas guide. In the end, we implemented activities aimed at education about human rights, social entrepreneurship, circular economy. We have prepared proposals for social entrepreneurship, circular and shared economy as well as volunteering. Throughout the project, we also collaborated with subject matter experts who contributed their knowledge and experience. The outputs and experiences from the project were disseminated among the local community to ensure sustainable development and dissemination of the project's results even after its completion.
▶Impact
The main material outputs of the project were manuals and intentions related to increasing environmental awareness, inclusion, responsible consumption and engagement for the local community. We have prepared guides for a healthy lifestyle, upcycling, tips for eco-trips as well as business plans for the shared and circular economy and socially responsible business. We also focused on youth engagement and volunteering. We prepared a survey about consumption and lifestyle. It mapped consumer behavior among participants. The survey results provided valuable data for further activities. The manuals and materials were shared between schools and local communities, allowing the resources created to be widely used. The project brought results that contributed to the development of environmental education, a healthy lifestyle and sustainable behavior. The results of the project were integrated into educational programs and have the potential for further use in the future. The project contributed to the improvement of professional, organizational and interpersonal competences of the participants, as well as better engagement of young people in the local community.
