▶Objectives
The project aims to improve the competitiveness of SMEs in tourism and agriculture by developing a training program for designing tour packages that promote rural tourism and attract new visitors. We seek to encourage tourists to discover local intangible heritage (handicrafts, cuisine, music, stories) through innovative training tools and promotional campaigns involving key stakeholders. Main objectives: Encouraging young people in rural areas to be resilient and invest their skills locally. Promoting economic growth in small towns and villages through rural tourism. Strengthening digital skills among rural tourism operators, such as restaurants, farmers, and B&B Addressing the digital gap in rural tourism management Creating flexible, green, and digital-based training paths for rural tourism development. Developing cooperative strategies among local public bodies and tour operators. There are 4 WPs: 1: Project management; WP2: Rural Tourism Business Guide; WP3:TouRural Campaign for rural tourism awareness; and WP4: Impact dissemination and sustainability.Expected outcomes include best practices in rural tourism management and the use of project deliverables for rural development in Europe.
▶Activities
WP1:Project management(communication, financial management, activities coordination) WP2: Rural Tourism and Rural Resilience Guide: We put together studying text is designed to capture and elaborate on innovative ideas within the rural tourism. It aims to inspire and encourage young people to invest locally in this field. Available in all national languages on our website. Our activities were aimed to create and design the manual, Pilot&test and distribute it. WP3:TouRural Campaign- an awareness campaign. This work package promotes experiential tourism in rural areas. All WP3 deliverables aim to showcase the project itself and its activities, emphasizing the importance of digital skills for supporting rural tourism businesses. Our primary digital tool is Canva, available for free at VET schools in Slovakia. We encourage teachers to use these tools and guide students in using them and AI to boost visibility of their futurure business/activities. The campaign engages visitors with local culture, raises awareness of experiential tourism benefits, attracting visitors, fostering collaboration, and improving digital skills among tourism operators. WP1: Project management: Result of effective project management is the successful and timely delivery of the project. It includes ensuring that the project progresses satisfactorily, management structures are effective, budgets are managed and reported on time, and necessary actions are taken to enhance project implementation.
