Objectives

The objectives of the project were the following: - Contributing to the EU’s strategies for female entrepreneurship by offering the opportunity to a broad range of women to be involved and utilize their potential. - Promoting sustainable development and becoming part of developing a female green economy. - Developing innovative educational tools that will facilitate the development of new and innovative digital skills among females in Europe. Overall, the project aimed to provide alternative ways of learning to a broad range of women and help them develop their knowledge, skills and capabilities in order to be benefited from opportunities for employability and entrepreneurship. The successful implementation of the project formed the basis for women’s integration in the European labour market and society at large and set a good example for other organizations and stakeholders across Europe to follow. The impact of the outcome is twofold. First, it encouraged a more inclusive approach from local SMEs towards women. Second, it disseminated the experiences, knowledge and practices gained through the project’s actions across and beyond the network of partner organisations of VEDA.

Activities

In the partnership, we successfully implemented all the activities that were planned in the project application. Implemented activities: We prepared and implemented 6 local forums and 12 focus groups in which we involved not only project partners, but also stakeholders and the target groups for the development of the training package, which required a lot of time and effort. We organized the educational activity of 6 workshops, realized by 7 partners in 6 European countries. The biggest event was a final conference in Slovakia with participation in person as well as virtually, where all results and other contributions to the topic were presented, each partner had a presentation and stakeholders from all over Europe participated. We held 5 info days in all partner countries. We also created the project's website, an educational platform and managed the Facebook and Instagram of the VEDA project on a rotating basis. We regularly released press releases and project newsletters.

Impact

The project VEDA aims to provide equal opportunities for learning and employability to women, through the utilisation of their existing skills and the development of new competences. Results and outcomes: 1) Analysis of the current female entrepreneurship strategies in Europe on a regional, national and local level: collection of data from interviews and focus groups which took place during the project and map out the specific character of the current opportunities for female entrepreneurship in the EU labour market. 2) Development and implementation of interactive learning material, which include activities designed to help women improve their skills and capacities to enter the labour market. These skills help to develop digital literacy, as well as ways of developing their own tourist business ideas, entrepreneurship skills, marketing or social skills. 3) Development of an online platform with learning activities, which will work as a bridge between women and local SMEs, tourist businesses stakeholders and organizations who offer opportunities for employment and/or entrepreneurship 4) An interactive guidelines/modules - build the professional capacity of participants in the field of green entrepreneurship
