▶Objectives
With Project The 5 "R"s Handicrafts, we aimed to increase the environmental awareness of our educators, administrators and learners in our institutions by transforming waste materials into handicraft products. With this project, we aimed to reduce the consumption habits of our target audiences by following the 5 R steps, to provide them with more environmentally friendly consumption habits, to create differences in their knowledge, skills and attitudes on environmental issues and to enable them to acquire environmentally friendly habits. In addition, we aimed to create sustainable societies with activities that develop creativity that will enable them to participate in environmental activities, to obtain information about carbon footprint and to gain competencies on how to use information technologies to raise environmental awareness. We aimed to help them gain the ability to take environmental responsibility and gain the necessary skills to volunteer in environmental organizations. We also aimed to make our institutions more environmentally friendly in every aspect and to increase their potential to lead environmental activities.
