▶Objectives
Through the implementation of the project, the vocational knowledge and skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities, who are receiving vocational education in handicrafts, have been improved, their motivation increased, and their awareness of environmental and climate change issues has been raised. The synergies, teamwork skills, and foreign language communication abilities of the project partners with their colleagues in different countries have been enhanced. Awareness of different cultures has been fostered. The vocational motivation of the participating project partners has increased, and they have gained the experience of working in a different country. The motivation of project partners to work in other countries has also been elevated. All of these are the goals we successfully achieved through the implementation of the project. The gradual depletion of natural resources, the environmental pollution caused by waste, global warming, and the negative developments resulting from climate change further emphasize the importance of recycling efforts. One of our key objectives is to reintegrate solid waste (such as metal, glass, plastic, paper, and textiles) into the economy through handicraft methods.
▶Activities
Training videos have been created on the production of various functional and useful materials with economic value (such as souvenirs, toys, household items, decorative items, etc.) from recyclable materials using handicraft methods. Two handbooks have been prepared, explaining selected example activities from the video content and emphasizing the importance of recycling. Pilot training sessions were organized, and dissemination activities for the project were conducted. Through the implementation of project activities, our students' skills in traditional handicrafts have been improved, their awareness of environmental and climate change issues has been heightened, innovative applications in traditional handicrafts have been developed, synergy among participating institutions has been fostered, and the continuity of knowledge sharing has been ensured. LTT (Learning, Teaching, and Training) activities were organized as part of a 5-day training program in rotation with international and local partners. As a result of the LTT activities, project partners have enhanced their qualifications, vocational knowledge, and skills in producing new materials from recyclable waste using traditional handicraft techniques.
▶Impact

With the experiences they gained, they have developed innovative and sustainable designs and have prepared higher quality and more innovative educational products using these designs.Additionally, in the context of combating environmental and climate change, they have improved their knowledge regarding the positive effects of recycling on the environment and climate change.Through the LTT activities, the participating partners have developed synergies with colleagues from different countries, improved their teamwork skills with colleagues from various countries, and enhanced their foreign language communication skills.Awareness of different cultures and professional motivation has increased. They have gained experience working in another country, and their motivation to work in different countries has also been boosted.Awareness of recycling has increased.Training videos on recycling have been created, and recycling awareness books (two in English and Turkish) have been prepared.Dissemination activities for the project have been conducted.
