▶Objectives
Our objective is to raise environmental awareness and incorporate sustainable materials into vocational education and training (VET). We seek to identify and source sustainable materials from companies and workplaces to use in educational settings. By doing so, we aim to reduce financial burdens and promote sustainability. Our goal is to establish a connection between schools and industry, creating practical methods that can be implemented in VET. We also strive to share these methods with other VET trainers to broaden their impact. We aim to learn new strategies from our partners, review their previous achievements, and create awareness about sustainability among students to pass on this knowledge to future generations and their careers. We also want to demonstrate the feasibility and adaptability of renewable and sustainable materials.
▶Activities
We explored the positive impact of ecomuseums, learning about wool, food waste, and organic dyes from plants. At Recycling Park, we observed recycling processes and created modern art from collected waste. Visits to Ioannina and Zagori highlighted social urban recycling and sustainability. We learned about Gazi Metal Company's green policies and their community contributions. We used their waste materials for workshops, creating items like a fly repellent, a table lamp, and a power supply from discarded electronics. We also engaged with the local press, vocational schools, and the town mayor, and developed lesson plans. We made electronic circuits from waste cables and garbage bins from cardboard. We held sessions and a symposium on solar energy and visited Syctom Waste Management and Cité des Sciences to learn about recycling and automation technology. We observed ITIS Urbino’s robotics and workshop equipment, created 3D-printed figures, and built smart lamp circuits from waste materials. We held online sessions with a company in Ancona on waste electronics and visited Centro per la Famiglia and La Saponaria to learn about art from waste and organic cosmetics. We created our guidebook.We shared our findings with the town mayor.

We developed lesson plans and educational materials using recycled and waste materials and created practical tools such as fly repellents, smart lamp circuits, and 3D-printed figures, demonstrating innovative uses for waste. We prepared the guidebook of the project.We gained insights into green policies, waste management, and recycling practices across various countries. We held brainstorming sessions and symposiums on solar energy and sustainable practices.Students actively participated in workshops, gaining hands-on experience with waste materials and electronics. They also received career insights from industry professionals.We established connections with companies and local authorities, such as Gazi Metal Company and the town mayor. Shared project findings with the local press, vocational schools, and community members.We produced artworks from waste materials, highlighting creativity in sustainability and created functional items and modern art, showcasing the potential of recycling. We visited key sites like Modern Art Museums,Recycling Park,LaSaponaria,Syctom Waste Management, Cité des Sciences, learning about advanced recycling and automation technologies. As our final product we created the guidebook for everyone.
