▶Objectives
The main objective of this project is for music students to develop their professional and personal skills by gaining experience at an international level. The project aimed to provide a solid foundation for the students' future careers by developing their musical talents under the guidance of professional musicians. It also aimed for students to experience cultural diversity and broaden their musical perspectives by working together with their peers from different countries. From the teachers' point of view, the project aimed to enhance their professional leadership skills and enable them to adopt more effective methods in music education. The concerts and workshops organised within the project provided the participants with the opportunity to showcase their stage performances, which contributed to the development of self-confidence and communication skills. In conclusion, supporting music students to reach their career goals and increasing the professional competences of teachers are the most important success goals of this project.
▶Activities
Four main events were organised within the project: Workshops and concerts in the Netherlands, Germany (2) and Turkey provided students and teachers with international experience. In each event, participants had the opportunity to get to know traditional musical instruments, improvise and explore different musical cultures. Thanks to the practical training provided by the supervisors, the students improved their musical skills and the teachers increased their leadership skills. In addition, concerts organised at the end of each activity allowed the participants to showcase their stage performances. During the project, online meetings, workshops and cultural interaction events were organised to encourage knowledge sharing among the participants. All events were broadcast live on the YouTube channels of the project partners, reaching a wider audience.
▶Impact
The workshops and joint concerts organised in three countries at the end of the project were important learning experiences for music students and teachers. Students developed their professional skills, gained stage experience and established international networks by getting to know the musical traditions of different cultures. Teachers, on the other hand, gained the competence to guide students more effectively by increasing their professional leadership skills. The digital content and concert recordings prepared within the scope of the project reached a wide audience on YouTube, creating an open resource in the field of music education. In addition, the international collaborations established during the project created a basis for future joint projects and emphasised the importance of cultural diversity in the field of music education. Through this experience, the participants have shown a significant development both individually and professionally.
