ST.art : Integrating Arts into Subjects for a Better Sustainable Quality of Education.

Our students had become unsociable,depressed,anxious and inconfidence persons with the effects of Pandemic.To awake their awareness and attention,we added Arts in our lessons.They felt captivated before these activities but making their imagination,creativity and participation functional,they felt as if they had wings during these activities based on Art. Therefore,we had to step forward trying to use Art-based methods in every lesson.But HOW?As teachers,we had to learn Art-based methods.We applied this project to learn how to use these methods accurately.Thanks to our project,we learnt ART THERAPY and ACTIVE ART methods to integrate in our classrooms and beyond.We used and adapted them in our lessons and established an Art as Therapy Center in our Schools. With this project,the students realised that they are the only one unique small part of a big Community.We also decided to focus on 4 important SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS.The 1st one was the Quality Education.With our Art-based Education project,we created different approaches on Education.The others were Climate Action,Life Below Water and Sustainable Cities.With this project,our students became activists and problem solvers.They did awarenessArt-based activitivities.

We wanted to achive some goals by implementing the project: 1-Learning and integrating Active Art methods and Art as Theraphy in different school subjects 2-Establishing Art as Therapy Centers in our Schools 3-Exemplifying how space affects learning within the scope of outdoor learning ,reproducing the space in a different and original way as an outdoor learning process 4-Understanding the importance of Artists and Art in solving process of SDGs focusing mainly on four Sustainable Development Goals: Quality Education,Sustainable Cities,Climate Change,Life Underwater. During our project process,we all achieved these goals.We completed all our aims.We established Art as Therapy Centers at our schools and implemented lessons with our students.Each partner organisation combined arts and the subjects/lessons according to the" ACTIVITY WORKBOOK: BECOMING AN ARTISTIC CLASSROOM" as our The Digital Guide Book. We prepared our own lesson plans and recorded our sample lessons.As teachers our aim is not only learn and use these methods in our lessons,but also create an inspirational education platform among our colleagues. Project tachers took our face to face course called Art as Therapy: Self-Expression and Special Needs in Art Education in Barcelona.Then we took our online 5-day course Active Art: Understanding and Enjoying Art in the Classroom and Beyond.We took both of them by Marta Mandolini from Europass Teacher Academy.After these fruitful courses,with our gainings, each partner organisation combined arts and the subjects/lessons according to our The Digital Guide Book. We prepared our own lesson plans and recorded our sample lessons.As teachers our aim is not only learn and use these methods in our lessons,but also create an inspirational education platform among our colleagues.As partner schools,we set up Art as Therapy Centers in our schools and we performed art-based activities with the students who were in need of help.We worked mainly the students who had some difficulties expressing themselves in society and who were inconfident.Also we implemented awareness activities related to SDGs in Florence and Venice by focusing on the Climate Action,in Barcelona and Trabzon Sustainable Cities,in Paris Quality Education,in Bodrum Life Below Water.Finally in Trabzon KTÜ Outdoor Learning and Sustainable Cities with Traditional Architectures.

The ACTIVITY WORKBOOK: BECOMING ARTISTIC CLASSROOM:Your Comprehensive and Creative Guidebook for artistic dynamics and activities by Europass Teacher Academy of Barcelona.This Guide book has 3 Modules including very enjoyable art-based lesson-adaptable activities.All the partners translated this Guidebook into their native Languages so that all the teachers can use them.
