The main goal of Secure Future was to develop a standardized cybersecurity training program tailored for VET students in IT-related fields and employees working in SMEs' IT departments. The project set out to: • Develop a cybersecurity curriculum aligned with ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training). • Provide practical, accessible, and high-quality training materials for both VET institutions and SMEs. • Foster stronger collaboration between VET providers and industry leaders to align training with real-world cybersecurity needs. • Increase awareness and preparedness against cyber threats by offering self-learning digital resources.

The project was carried out collaboratively by six partner organizations from Turkey, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Austria. Key activities included: • Conducting a comparative analysis of cybersecurity training in partner countries. • Developing a European cybersecurity curriculum aligned with industry standards. • Creating 10 interactive learning modules (available in multiple languages), covering topics like cybersecurity fundamentals, data protection, forensic analysis, and security governance. • Designing and launching a digital training platform for self-paced learning. • Hosting workshops, validation meetings, and transnational project meetings to engage stakeholders and ensure curriculum quality. • Producing a comprehensive guide to help integrate training content into VET institutions and SME training programs.

The Secure Future project successfully delivered: • A European Cybersecurity Curriculum, built in accordance with ECVET standards. • A digital learning platform, offering open-access cybersecurity training materials. • Validated and practical training content, ensuring its relevance for both VET students and SME employees. • A practical guide to help VET institutions and SMEs integrate cybersecurity training into their programs for long-term sustainability. • Increased awareness and competency among VET trainers, students, and SME employees, ultimately enhancing digital security across Europe. Through these achievements, Secure Future has made a lasting impact by equipping future professionals with essential cybersecurity skills and strengthening SMEs’ resilience against cyber threats.
