Our aim was to discover innovative ways to engage and participate in addressing the environmental crisis. We established three goals for our project. Firstly, we wanted to help our organizations understand and address the environmental crisis caused by human behavior. Secondly, we aimed to improve the skills of our trainers and mentors when working with adult women. Thirdly, we wanted to empower mothers to take action, ask questions, debate, and proactively build a healthier and more sustainable relationship with the environment. Our ultimate goal was to encourage women to proactively initiate change by inspiring their families and communities to engage in more environmentally friendly behavior. Considering the profile and interests of our trainers, we were enthusiastic about exploring themes related to climate change by promoting active citizenship and civic engagement on environmental issues, building closer understanding of EU actions on environmental protection, and encouraging alternative forms of participation through artistic expression.
