The project wants to introduce 10-12 year-old pupils to peers within Europe in a low-threshold way. Each pupil have chosen to spend their free time creating and developing their artistic skills. The project challenges them to get out of their comfort zone and interact with non-native children through digital, child-friendly means and to make art together. Together they carry out research into a theme, a technique ... they will show the interactive results through an online and offline platform.

- Preparation teachers: At regular times we had online meetings with the tutors to meet and discuss how we would fill the common online class activities. - Introduction of the teachers and the children who are participating in the project: There was a meeting for the parents and their children. There was also the possibility to join this meeting online with Teams. - Cross over atelier with Buddy Project: In Februari we had a 3 day in-class and online co-working workshop. Children discussed, researched, created and showed their work, together with their buddy via the digital apps. - Trip to Oslo: We went to Oslo with 25 Belgian children to meet their Norwegian buddies and paint the 10-metre wall together, make their stopmotion and get to know each other. Announcing the project: The result of the online cooperation can be seen on the ConnectedART website, the painted wall where augmented reality is applied will last for 5 years and there are 3 big banners printed hanging in Belgium and a new childrens park in Oslo. Evaluation & future: We polled parents and children about their experiences of the project using an online form and had a joint meeting together with all the tutors.

The best result we achieved is that the children have an ongoing contact with their buddies. There were several of our students who from home do not have the opportunity to embark on this adventure because of financial circumstances or because of their health. This project enabled them to do so and this experience will stay with them for life. Through this project, they were able to do so and this experience will stay with them for life. This collaboration results in a beautiful 10-metre-long wall that can be admired both online and offline in both Norway and Belgium. The search for digital tools was instructive for both student and teacher but this is a start for working digitally within our art education. We have compiled our experiences on a website for further sharing with others who want to make a similar quest.
