Alex: the SexEdBot

Objectives The project aims to create a chatbot for the administration of holistic SRH education for the purpose of providing gen-Z youth with access to quality SRH information that reflects their diverse realities and debunks SRH misinformation and stereotypes. In doing so, the project will equip youth workers engaging with this target group with the pedagogical/technical skills needed to use, exploit and re-purpose the chatbot for this purpose and for other youth-focused subject matter. Activities To reach the aims, we will implement these activities: a theoretical base in the form of a toolbox of best practices and guide for youth workers on adapting their SRH practices, the development of a chatbot (enriched with written content in the form of holistic SRH topics and multimedia content), field tests with 300 participants, practical guidance on the usage of the project results with a user & creation manual and tester recommendations, and dissemination events to promote the project. Impact The project will create a chatbot to answer the SRH-related queries of gen-Z youth. In order for youth workers to exploit the project results for the benefit of their practices, the project will provide them with a guide/toolbox on the state-of-the-art, resources to enrich the chatbot, and practical manuals and recommendations on how to use and repurpose the chatbot and project resources.
