โถObjectives
Initially, we identified several key areas where intervention was needed. Firstly, there was a significant skills gap in the CCIs, particularly in managerial skills, collaboration skills, and green operational skills. Secondly, there was a lack of tailored training opportunities specifically designed for adult workers in the CCIs to acquire these green skills. Finally, there was a growing recognition of the urgent need for the CCIs to embrace sustainability and contribute to the fight against climate change, but limited resources and initiatives were available to support this transition. Our aim was to empower adult workers in the CCIs with essential green skills, facilitating their transition to a more sustainable, green economy. We sought to address the skills gap, offering tailored training opportunities to meet their unique needs. By promoting environmental sustainability and fostering innovation within the CCIs, we aimed to contribute to global sustainability goals while supporting industry growth and resilience. Collaboration with partners enabled us to build capacity and foster transnational cooperation, ultimately creating lasting impact in the CCIs.
