Objectives

Our project aimed to enhance learning through outdoor activities, making education engaging and inclusive. We focused on: 1. Using nature as an inclusive learning environment to support diverse learning needs. 2. Enhancing skill acquisition in key subjects—Language, Maths, and Science—through practical, hands-on outdoor activities. 3. Developing teachers’ abilities to integrate outdoor learning into their teaching practices, enriching educational methods. 4. Fostering hard and soft skills among students and teachers, increasing intercultural awareness and teamwork. 5. Boosting student engagement in school activities, thereby improving academic performance and school participation rates.

Activities

We conducted a range of interactive and engaging activities, structured to maximize learning outdoors. Key activities included: Joint staff training in Turkey to equip teachers with outdoor learning methodologies. Development and demonstration of an intellectual output of outdoor activities for Language and Science, collaboratively created by partners from each participating country. Two student exchanges in Romania and Czechia, where students actively participated in outdoor learning sessions designed to enhance their language and scientific skills. Continuous evaluation through interviews and Google Forms, capturing feedback to refine activities and improve student satisfaction. Use of digital tools and platforms like eTwinning for project collaboration, feedback, and dissemination of outcomes to broader educational communities.

Impact

Our project produced key outputs and positive impacts: 1. 3 eBook for outdoor learning activities for Language and Science, including practical exercises and methodologies. - Book 1 : Exploring Outdoor Education in Romania, Czechia, and Turkey: A Comparative Study for Educators - Book 2: Outdoor Learning - Book 3: Activities for Outdoor Learning 2. Three Learning, Teaching, and Training Activities (LTTAs), where teachers and students participated in outdoor learning sessions across Turkey, Romania, and Czechia. 3. Certificates of participation and Europass Mobility documents for all participants. 4. Increased teacher skills in outdoor education, with practical tools and methods for continued use. 5. Improved student engagement and performance in targeted subjects, as observed through feedback and evaluations. 6. Enhanced intercultural awareness and teamwork among students from different countries, fostering inclusion. 7. Digital dissemination, including eTwinning events and a social media presence, to share results with other schools and educational communities."
