Hospodaření s vodou v zemědělství
▶Summary
With the project, we wanted to address the need for education focused on sustainable water management in agriculture and the challenges brought about by climate change. Water is a critical resource in agriculture, but its availability and quality are increasingly threatened by environmental change and unsustainable practices. Our schools have identified several key needs: 1. Improving the quality of educational content by creating comprehensive teaching materials in the field of sustainable water use and protection. 2. Strengthening the professional knowledge of teachers. 3. Enhancing the preparation of students for future challenges by equipping them with practical skills, environmental awareness and knowledge of innovative methods in agriculture. 4. Building international cooperation to exchange best practices and provide teachers and students with a broader perspective on global environmental challenges.
▶Objectives
The goal of our project was to increase the quality of vocational education in the field of teaching about water management in agriculture in the countries of the partner schools. We wanted the teachers in the partner schools to focus on this topic, prepare a teaching unit for their school dealing with the most pressing problems of this topic in their country and introduce it into their school's educational programs. At the same time, we wanted the students of the partner schools to learn about these topics and share their knowledge with each other. Therefore, they created their presentations on this topic and during international meetings in partner schools, they became familiar with the issues which the partners´ countries face. Another goal was to strengthen the internationalization of schools, improve language competence of the participants and find new social partners for future cooperation with partner schools.
