▶Objectives
The partnership created within this project set out to accomplish the following goals: 1) to analyze and compare the approaches used by the Czech, Slovak, and Austrian partner schools regarding the implementation of smart IT tools in vocational economic education. This included evaluating the most effective tools for online teaching and assessment, methods for secure data sharing and data protection, ways to engage students in developing digital skills, and the use of online surveys, testing platforms, and other innovative digital solutions already in use at each institution. 2) to identify the most successful practices from each partner school and facilitate their exchange by applying these approaches during vocational lessons and piloting them through collaborative learning activities across the partnership. 3) to create a joint instructional handbook that compiles these best practices and proven methods, offering a clear and practical methodology for teachers. This guide is intended not only for the benefit of the partner schools, but also for wider dissemination to other institutions looking to adopt and implement similar digital innovations in their teaching.
▶Activities
The participating schools implemented a range of activities throughout the project: 1) Project coordination and management – The partners jointly agreed on the specific dates for transnational meetings, ensured timely delivery of all project outcomes, and worked on the implementation of the dissemination plan. The coordinating school played a key role in maintaining the project timeline and overseeing compliance with Erasmus+ financial and reporting regulations. 2) Hosting responsibilities – Each school was responsible for organizing one transnational project meeting and one learning activity, ensuring that all objectives related to these events were met. 3) Participation in mobility activities – all schools ensured that they sent adequately prepared teachers and students to attend meetings and activities hosted by the other partners. Expert work on content – all schools collaborated on developing the instruction manual for smart IT tools in education by: a) comparing IT tools in use, b) evaluating their effectiveness and selecting the best ones, c) helping compile the final manual.
▶Impact
The project generated the following concrete outputs and results: 1) A comprehensive instruction manual in English, German, Slovak and Czech language, jointly developed by all partner schools, designed primarily for teachers of vocational subjects. This manual presents a structured overview of the most effective digital tools and teaching methods identified and tested by each school. It highlights best practices in areas such as online education, student assessment, data security, and learner engagement, offering guidance that can be easily adapted by other institutions. 2) The manual was translated into each partner’s national language (German, Czech, Slovak) and published on the official websites of all involved schools. By making the material accessible in both English and local languages, the partnership ensured that the output is usable not only at the local and regional levels, but also across the wider European educational community. 3) A series of dissemination and promotional activities were carried out by all partners (presentations to school staff, information sessions for students, online publication of results, and sharing through social media.
