Our project was designed to empower refugee and migrant women by providing them with tailored learning opportunities to ease their integration and encourage active participation in their host societies. A key objective was to develop transferable skills, particularly in digital literacy and English communication, to strengthen their engagement within their new communities. Alongside these skills, the project promoted European values and active citizenship, fostering a shared identity and empowering these women to contribute positively. We also developed innovative tools and activities that promote inclusion and participation, creating a supportive environment where these women feel connected and valued. By raising awareness of the unique challenges they face, especially in accessing social rights, we intended to advocate for broader social inclusion and equity. Further, our project aligned with the EU priority of "Inclusion and Diversity" by fostering social inclusion for marginalized groups, such as migrant women, and by addressing sector priorities that enhance employability and resilience. This initiative promoted Erasmus+ as an avenue for growth, helping participants strengthen their European identity and sense of belonging.

Our project implemented targeted activities to equip refugee and migrant women with essential skills for integration and empowerment. The Digital Competencies Training covered foundational digital skills like Word, Excel, and Internet use, alongside workshops on creating digital content with tools like Canva. We also developed handbooks with best practices from partner countries. Through these activities, participants gained digital skills, qualifications, and certificates, boosting their employability and confidence. The English Communication Course was a six-month program to improve writing, speaking, and listening proficiency. It included storytelling sessions and psycho-social support to address trauma, fostering community and trust. Two workshops introduced European identity, values, and active citizenship, emphasizing Erasmus+’s role in promoting these ideals. Finally, awareness events showcased project outcomes, celebrated participants’ achievements, and highlighted challenges faced by migrant women, underlining the importance of inclusion.

Digital Competencies Training and English Communication Course The project included two key courses: Digital Competencies Training and an English Communication Course. Participation varied, with noticeable declines in student numbers throughout the term. The Level 1 (A1) English course began with 14 students in October, but only 6 completed it by December. In Level 2 (A2), 11 students started, with 7 graduating. For the computer classes, organized into two groups of 5, all 10 students began in October, and 6 successfully graduated. A graduation ceremony celebrated the 24 students who completed their courses, including 16 in English and 8 in computer skills. Final exam averages were impressive: 92% for the A1 course and 80% for the A2 (B1+) course. The computer class collaborated with the Employability Coordinator on a session titled "How to Search for a Job Online," while the Level 2 English class participated in a reflective session with a psychologist called "Giving Advice to Our Younger Selves." Most students who completed the English courses in the previous term opted to continue their studies. Three instructional handbooks were developed.
