The INFORMED project analyzed media use, trust, and skills gaps, creating learning materials to improve adult education's quality and flexibility. It focused on building educators' soft and digital skills, especially in journalism, to address fake news and enhance public trust. Collaboration with stakeholders validated findings and enhance institutional capacity. The project sought to introduce resources to the target group and strengthen cooperation for proactive disinformation addressing through wide dissemination. The direct target group, including teachers and students, would participate actively, fostering digital competence for broader dissemination. The indirect target group involved training organizations, journalists, policymakers, and the public, addressed during dissemination. As a result, the project aimed to reshape adult education, empower educators, foster information credibility, and proactively combat disinformation, ultimately contributing to a more informed society.

The project executed several activities to attain its goals: 1. Initial actions included analyzing media use, trust, and skills gaps across countries and creating learning materials for adult education. 2. Workshops were realised for enhancing adult educators' soft and digital skills, particularly in journalism, addressing fake news, and building public trust. 3. The third activity involved collaborating with stakeholders, such as news media and policymakers, to validate findings and enhance institutional capacity, contributing to digital transformation and reducing misinformation. 4. The fourth activity focused on wide dissemination, including workshops and outreach, raising awareness among the direct target group of adult teachers, staff, and students, fostering digital competence for broader dissemination. Indirect targets, including training organizations, journalists, policymakers, and the public, were addressed through booklets and hints during the dissemination phase. All the activities were very successful and covered needs analysis, learning material development, educator workshops, stakeholder collaboration, and wide dissemination, aiming to reshape adult education, enhance digital competences, foster information.

The INFORMED project aimed to enhance soft and digital skills among adult learners, equipping them to understand digital media, critically assess online content, and combat disinformation: a) Analyzed media consumption, trust in media, and skill gaps across project countries (Activity 2) to develop tailored learning materials, aligning with the priority of improving adult education. b) Trained adult educators in soft and digital skills to address misinformation while promoting quality journalism (Activity 3), supporting learning opportunities. c) Strengthened credibility in information by collaborating with stakeholders, validating findings, and enhancing digital readiness (Activity 4). d) Disseminated resources widely to raise awareness and foster long-term partnerships for continued impact. Key results included workshop preparation (Activity 2), implementation and evaluation (Activity 3), and community building (Activity 4).
