▶Objectives
'United' aligns with EU priorities, emphasizing 'Inclusion and diversity in all fields, training, youth, and sport,' and 'Common values and civic engagement.' Recognizing equality as fundamental, the project aims to educate staff and peers on essential European values, fostering a sustainable culture where a diverse team collaborates confidently. Upon successful completion, the project anticipates staff fully embracing Inclusion and Diversity values, actively rejecting any signs of discrimination in employment. The overarching goal is a cultural shift within organisations, facilitating better integration and collaboration with individuals facing fewer opportunities. This initiative directly contributes to the broader EU agenda of promoting equal opportunities and access to education, inclusion, diversity, and fairness. The partnering organisations, recognizing the importance of these goals, aim to enhance their capacities by instilling these values in their workforce. By nurturing a culture that values every individual irrespective of background, the project aspires to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and can contribute authentically.
▶Activities
In the implementation of our project, 'United,' three main activities were undertaken to fulfil the main goals: Activity 1: Development of Diversity-Centred Learning Objectives. Focus group interviews were conducted with the target groups to understand learner needs, exploring current knowledge gaps and required skills for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Activity 2: Development of the Blended Training Programme Building on the insights from Activity 1, partnering organisations collaborated to develop a digital blended learning program. The program aimed to connect users to the learning framework and present information in an engaging manner suitable for a diverse audience. Activity 3: Training Programme Evaluation This activity focused on understanding and identifying skills gaps in the delivered training. Indicators of training effectiveness were determined, with a focus on the learning experience. In summary, the implemented activities were structured to address key aspects of inclusion and diversity, encompassing the development of learning objectives, a blended training program, and a rigorous evaluation process.
▶Impact
The project, 'United,' yielded concrete outputs which were uploaded on the UNITED website: https://unitederasmus.com/activities/ Activity 1: Focus-group interviews and data analysis (PDF document). For Activity 2: Develop the Blended Training Program:: The 'Inclusion and Diversity' program, comprising modules with sub-units, was developed and uploaded to the project website. A beta-version was produced, and after piloting and validation the content was fine-tuned. For Activity 3: Training Programme Evaluation: Quality examination survey & analysis: A survey on the project's website aimed to assess the quality of the blended training program. Focus group interviews analysis: Insights from focus group interviews were documented. Overall program evaluation analysis - recommendations for fine-tuning the program. Finalised training program: All refined training modules were translated into German and French
