▶Objectives
The aim of the project is to make vocational education and training more flexible. The focus is on promoting transnational mobility and European exchange programs in vocational education and training. Both company practice and trainees are to be more closely involved. The project aims to open up new opportunities for participation by creating and intensifying transnational networks and to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by Erasmus+. We want to significantly strengthen the European dimension for the target groups and increase the attractiveness of vocational training. We want to strengthen the intercultural competence and experience of young people in the theater and promote their professional and personal development.
▶Activities
Representatives of the theaters, including technical directors, HR managers and trainers, as well as trainees and young employees at the theater were actively involved in the project at numerous internal and external events. In the five project phases or work steps: Research, Conception, Digitization, Implementation and Dissemination, intensive collaboration was carried out with experts to develop solutions. The promotion of Erasmus+, the acquisition of stakeholders, the integration of the target group and the onboarding of partner organizations were made possible in the course of the project through the creation of the “Teatro Europa brand”. Decisive drivers for the positive results are the implementation of the campaign and the development of the website.
▶Impact
The causes of the lack of mobility in the context of training at the theater were clearly analyzed and named. On this basis, concrete measures to make vocational education and training in the theater more flexible and modern were identified and discussed in the industry, with both the company perspective and the trainees' perspective being examined in detail. Through targeted approaches and dissemination measures, relevant target groups were activated and involved in the project, practical solutions were identified, actual mobility was made possible and practical tools were provided to motivate and support the target groups. The project had a very positive impact on the motivation of all participants for more Europe, more mobility and more attractive vocational training. Overall, the project significantly increased the European awareness of all partners and target groups involved. One concrete result was the creation of a digital platform that makes it much easier and even possible for companies and trainees to organize stays abroad.
