▶Objectives
Our project went out to contribute to enriching of migrant inclusion efforts into European local communities through sharing reflective stories and dialogues on migrant experiences and perceptions. This is to contribute to an EU that is tolerant to diversity and that has increased supportive tools in inter-cultural citizenship for easier and quicker migrant inclusion. So, the 60 plus episodes of the podcasts of migrant stories should contribute to enriching/nuancing the migration dialogue. Beyond the migration dialogue and maybe local community empathy towards this, we also went out to produce concrete tools that should make this sustainable over the longer term. These include: - Running a training for at least 6 community mobilisers in podcasting and storytelling to both ensure effective implementation, but also to give them skills to continue this in the longer-term. - Based on the course above, develop an online version that is self-paced and forever available to both extend this to the public but also remain as a repository where learners can return to refresh their knowledge. - Turn a selection of the podcasts into a sharable storybook.
▶Activities
To deliver the project we implemented the following activities: - Three (3) transnational partner meetings (TPMs) to ensure proper coordination. One of these (the first one was virtual while the two others were physical meetings. - Ran a training for 8 community community mobilisers in the approach of the project to ensure effective implementation. - We mobilized, recruited, and produced 60 podcasts of migrant stories to enrich the debate/dialogue. - Published some of the podcasts into a shareable storybook - Developed a self-paced online course of podcasting for social causes. - Implemented 6 community events for results multiplication.
